About Us
The Agricultural Innovations and Technologies Market (MITA) is a regional platform led by the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF), a regional organization bringing together 23 West and Central African countries. The platform is dedicated to the promotion, connection and adoption of agricultural innovations and technologies. MITA facilitates connections between research actors, technology promoters, producers, processors and entrepreneurs around proven agricultural solutions that address productivity, climate resilience and sustainability challenges.

Objectives and Partners
MITA's primary mission is to transform agriculture in West and Central Africa. Our actions focus on three strategic pillars:
- Referencing & Structure: Organize and certify validated Agricultural Technologies and Innovations (T&I).
- Connection: Create a direct bridge between inventors (promoters), users and technical partners.
- Promotion & Adoption: Share practical guides and real testimonials to encourage the use of solutions in the field.
A solid ecosystem for development
MITA is a major initiative of the WAAPP/PPAAO, led by CORAF and supported by the World Bank. We collaborate with leading international organizations to ensure the excellence of our platform.
Centers of Specialization (CS / CERS) AND Technology Parks
Regional Centers of Excellence are the drivers of MITA's innovation. Each center focuses on a specific sector (Rice, Maize, Livestock, Fruits and Vegetables, etc.) to generate cutting-edge knowledge and technologies adapted to local contexts. They are the guarantors of the technical and scientific quality of the innovations published on our platform.
